CAL. STORAGE ROOM_ On their upcoming 17 city US tour, CVB's DL will be scanning record stores across the country in search of HIS records. CVB's private storage room in Southern California, which housed the entire CVB archives, was robbed on January 25th. The archives (which they called "the war chest") included masters, rare and unreleased tapes, unreleased cover material, records, CDs, test pressings, advance copies, imports, posters, flyers, video footage and guitars, etc. Except for the guitars everything was packed in crates. Left behind were some cassettes which bandleader DL thinks had no great pawn value. Among the stolen were some of the first copies of the debut CVB LP, TFLV. The first 2500 were numbered and the band cached over half of the first 25 for themselves. DL has called every record store in San Francisco and a record distributor has offered to fax stores around the country making them aware of the stolen items. If you have any information regarding the theft, please call 213.962.2702.
