The main difficult I encountered in this lab was getting the Basic programs on the pic chip. I forgot that I had to 'lock' the chip inside the pic programmer. This led to several frustrating attempts to get everything working. Once I finally figured this out, I had little trouble with the rest of the lab. The 12 LEDs lit up in series both with and without switch.

The first two chapters in crawfords book, 'The Art of Interactive design' can be reduced to two key points. One, the word 'interactive'has become a buzz word and as a result is often misused and abused. Crawford tries to clarify the actual meaning of 'interactive' by defining it as a task with two participants who both must listen, think and speak. The second point is that the relative advantage of a personal computer over other related technologies is that it can be interactive. As a result, Crawford believes that the interactive capabilities of the computer should be exploited.
