Thank you all for participating in the Fall 2008 showcase. As per my earlier email, the Fall 2008 showcase is scheduled for December 11, 5-9pm and will take place on the 13th floor of WWH. We will have 20 stations. Each station will provide an easel, a power outlet, and table space for a laptop. Students should bring a poster and a laptop containing the program they want to demonstrate. It is recommended to use the wireless network for Internet access and students should test wireless connectivity before the day of the show. To accommodate all the projects, we have divided the event into two time slots: 5-7pm and 7-9pm. Please provide the following information at this time: 1. Could you please confirm the number of projects you will be showing 2. Please provide the following information for each project: a) the title of the project b) a brief description (no more than a few sentences) c) the names of the students contributing to the project d) any hard time constraints for this project (i.e., can only do early or late slot) -- please be as flexible as possible. Please note that some students may need to participate in more than one demo. Please let me know if you discover that this is the case. For those students also participating in the Information Technology Projects class, one of the slots from 7-9pm may be chosen to demonstrate another project. There will be light refreshments provided during the showcase. Please instruct the students on how to prepare their demos. Students are responsible for their own posters. Oak tag (poster cardboard) 24" X 36" is available at the bookstore for 75 cents per sheet. I look forward to hearing back from all of you very soon. Regards, J.C. Office: x8-3014 Cell: (212) 203-5004
