Polly Rope Skipping

Try to make Polly skip rope. Begin by watching the demo to see how it's done. Just click on the Demo button on the bottom right. Notice that the rope speed increased periodically. Can you figure out when? Polly's score is also increasing with each successful jump.

Now you try it. Click on the Demo button again to stop the demo. Then click on the Reset button to clear the scores. Before you try skipping, first see how the Jump Speed slider works. Click anywhere in the slider to adjust Polly's speed. Notice that when you click in the Jump Speed slider, you are requesting a goal speed. It takes some time for Polly to adjust to it. You can also use the left arrow and right arrow keys to change Polly's jump speed.

Once you're comfortable with controlling Polly, you're ready to begin.As in the demo, the rope will begin swinging rather slowly. Also, for the initial rope speed we've set Polly's jump speed for you. However, sooner or later, the rope will speed up and you'll have to adjust Polly's speed to keep up. If Polly steps on the rope, you'll have to begin again. The keyboard controls are recommended for better Polly speed control. Before starting, click on the Reset button once more. Now, click on the Start Swing button. Have fun!
